Both sides of the story: A dyadic study of patient and clinician experiences during the psychiatric hospital admissions process

چکیده

Background As the focus on patient autonomy in psychiatric decisionmaking increases, the role of the clinician is often overlooked. While studies have examined the reasons why clinicians admit patients to hospital, there is little research investigating clinicians' experiences during the hospitalization process. The aim of this study was to collect data from patient-clinician dyads to examine how each party experienced the admissions process.
